May Flowers

Hello, readers of PinsPlace, and surprise!!  My name is Kristi and today I have the honor of guest blogging for Piniel – yippee!  I normally blog over at Alligator Toe, but after discovering that we share a birth month, Piniel and I decided to do a fun collaboration in the form of a guest post.  And since we are both May babies, our theme is none other than May Flowers, you know, ’cause April showers bring May flowers, and we are two pretty fantastic May flowers (if I may say so myself)!  😉

For my look, I decided to experiment with two new trends that I have been dying to try out – the midi skirt and the crop top.  I refashioned both the skirt and the top, hemming the shirt to a cropped length and adding the elastic waist on the skirt to make it more fitted for a high waistline.  I added some fun accessories, including a handmade flower crown, and – voila! – my fun, floral look is complete!

The details: floral skirt (refashion, old) // striped crop top (refashion, thrifted) // black sandal wedged (Charlotte Russe, old) // flower crown (handmade) // statement necklace (borrowed) // black stud earrings (H&M)

I am super excited and honored to be blogging here today because I think Piniel has the most amazing sense of style.  She is always super chic and on trend, but also manages to stay true to herself.  Of course, I’m sure all of you already know that!  I hope you enjoyed having me around today, don’t forget to see how Piniel styled her May Flowers look over on my blog (here)!

Thanks for reading!  – Kristi 🙂
